Our client has an exciting opportunity to join them as their Head of Property. They are an international group with a large portfolio of high street hospitality operations in the UK. This is a newly created role in the business due to expansion of their UK assets.

Primary responsibilities of the Head of Property will be;

Developing network of contactors and negotiating competitive work rates

Managing MSA contracts and delivery of repairs

Managing dilapidations process and ensuring assets are in good repair

Managing on-going property inspections annually

Delivering the Capital investment programme

Managing capital and revenue to budget

Managing health and safety and due diligence

Managing estates database in conjunction with back office support

The Head of Property will report into the CEO. The shape and vision of the department going forward will be set by the successful candidate due to this being a new role.

The successful Head of Property will have 5-10 years' experience in a similar role for retail / F&B brands, a Degree in Estate Management or similar essential and be a Member of the RICS.

They are currently looking for an experienced Trade professional to take on the role of Multi-Skilled Property Maintenance Operative. This role will focus on the painting and decorating of occupied and unoccupied properties but will also include other general day-to-day property repairs.

You will be involved in a full range of maintenance works and will be expected to complete jobs within target dates, making accurate records concerning progress. Meeting with the Works Manager, you will receive worksheets and plan forthcoming works, ensuring that you can be available for urgent works which may arise at short notice.

The successful candidate will hold a relevant qualification such as City & Guilds Painting and Decoration (level 3) along with broad experience working on day-to-day property maintenance. You should also be multi-skilled in other trades relevant to housing repairs such as wall tiling, plastering, window repairs, glazing, fencing and plumbing.

Candidates must have practical experience of dealing with people and dealing with sometimes difficult situations. You must be keen to learn new skills and flexible in your approach to work.

Due to the nature of the role you will need a full UK driving license.

Participating at team meetings you will ensure continuous improvement of the maintenance performance and you will also be responsible for keeping a clean and tidy appearance, and ensuring that any company vehicles or equipment are kept clean and in good order.
The successful candidate will possess a City and Guilds level 3 or similar NVQ qualification as well as being educated to GCSE or equivalent level in Maths and English. Broad experience working on day to day maintenance in occupied properties, in relevant trade would be ideal; as well as being multi-skilled in other trades relevant to day to day and void repairs. Skills and awareness in joinery repairs, wall tiling, plaster patching, upvc, window repairs and glazing is also essential. Familiarity with IT technology and the ability to demonstrate excellent customer service is required.
Due to the nature of the role you will have the ability to travel between sites. Essentially you will hold a full driving licence.
